Deluxe Sputnik Trap – Imported from Belgium, where these traps are used extensively. Advantages of Sputniks are that they act as a combination aviary, sun porch, release door, landing board, and trap, all in one. Since no bobs are involved, birds are less likely to hesitate entering the loft. Lately, many American lofts have added Sputniks in front of the conventional stall traps for quicker trapping and less likelihood of birds spooking.

This new version of Sputnik is sturdier than past models we've sold. The top, sides and front are made of cast aluminum alloy tubing, which allows for strength and durability, yet remains lightweight for easy shipping and installation.

All of our Sputniks are the same height (approximately 25 ½") and depth (approximately 19 ½"), but come in a variety of widths. We ship these broken down, but they can be assembled easily in about 10-15 minutes.

Note that oversized shipping applies; for these packages, UPS charges at the rate of 30 lb. shipping weight for 24" size and 70 lb. shipping weight for 32", 40", and 48" Sputnik Trap sizes.
