Siegel Pigeons Online Store Policies
|SECURE CREDIT CARD CHECKOUT - Our credit
card sales are handled through encryption to a secured server, certified
by VeriSign. If you are planning to pay by credit card, be sure to select
the "Secure credit card checkout" button.
If your browser does not support encryption, you will be able to order with the "Check-out: Send with check" button only.
– Our goal is to ship
your order within one business day of receipt. Wooden items (such as feeders)
may take a little longer, depending upon stock quantities. If we are out
of stock on any item, it is our policy to promptly send what is in stock
and back-order for you what is out of stock. Any back-ordered items will
be noted on the paperwork shipped with your order. However, if you would
prefer for us to hold your entire order if any part of it is back-ordered,
you will have an opportunity to reply by email when you receive our email
confirmation of your order. Your charge account will not be billed for
any item until that item is shipped.
"Second Day" shipping requests for Internet orders should be received in our office by Wednesday morning for receipt by Friday.
We do not consider ourselves an Internet company, but rather a service company whose online presence is offered as a convenience for its customers. If you have questions, please contact us. If your inquiry concerns an order, the invoice number is very helpful to us, so have it handy.
Our sales staff is available to assist you Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until noon, Central Time. Siegel’s is closed on major holidays and when FedEx is closed.
SHIPPING – Orders are shipped by your choice of several levels of FedEx shipping, or by U.S. Postal Service, selected at the time of checkout. Shipping charges for almost all FedEx orders are automatically calculated, by adding the shipping weights of all the items in your order, at the time of checkout. Note that if we have some question about how to ship your order, we will contact you by e-mail, so it is important that you carefully and correctly input your e-mail address during the check-out process.
A few oversized items are charged by FedEx by a weight category rather than a specific weight. These are indicated in the online catalog, with the weight FedEx assigns to determine the shipping charges.
Shipping charges for items shipped by U.S. Postal Service cannot be determined at the time of checkout, and will be calculated and added to your charges.
Items ordered together may be shipped separately. When this occurs, shipping charges are distributed proportionately on the invoice that accompanies each shipment, and there will be no additional shipping charges.
Orders to P.O. boxes (and APO and FPO addresses) must be shipped U.S. Postal Service.
SHIPPING OUTSIDE THE CONTINENTAL U.S. – Duties and value-added taxes may be required and are the responsibility of the customer. When we receive your order, our sales staff will advise you of any additional charges that may apply. International orders may be paid by the following: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, checks in U.S. funds drawn on a U.S. bank, or Postal Money Orders in U.S. funds.
For orders sent to Canada: Most orders shipped to Canada are shipped by USPS by request of customer. If you specify FedEx Standard to Canada but we believe we can get the product to you at less expense in the same amount of time, we will ship USPS and consequently reduce the shipping charge to you.
Please do not send Canadian checks. We can accept Canadian Postal money orders in U.S. funds or a credit card. Canadian checks will be sent back to await Postal Money Orders in U.S. funds.
NON-CHARGE PURCHASES – One of your payment options when checking out online is to send your order with your check. Please place the invoice number of your order on your check. We will accept checks in U.S. funds drawn on a U.S. bank, or Postal Money Orders in U.S. funds only. There is a $20 charge for NSF checks.
PRICES – Prices are subject to change without notice. Our policy of maintaining the lowest possible price is always in effect. But because we import many of our products from other countries, the rise and fall of the U.S. dollar against foreign currencies may make product costs change even as we attempt to fulfill your order. If there is a price change as we process your order for shipment, we will contact you by e-mail for your instructions before completing if this change would raise the cost of your order. If there is a price drop, we will ship your order and automatically reduce the charge for your order.
RETURN POLICY – If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, Siegel’s will exchange or refund the full purchase price. However, you must first contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization number and return instructions.
YOUR RIGHT TO PRIVACY – At Siegel’s, we appreciate your business and respect your privacy. We do not make our customer list available to anyone.
